I think this is (probably) the last blog I will write because the semester is ending, and the classes too, finally!!.
So, now I'm going to write about this subject at the University.
I really like this last semester of English classes. Firstable, because we had a better schedule and we don't have too wait so long for the next class. And also because classes were funnier than the other semesters. There was more conversation and interaction between my classmates, we talked about different things, we gave our opinions in some difficult or controversial subjects, or sometimes, we just talked about our likes, hobbies, or just where we live, to relax a little bit the afternoon. Overall, I really like English as a language.
Besides, we had to use and write in this blog as an extra-task, what it seems good to me. At least for me, this activity it has helped me to remember how to write a little more fluent the language, and to learn new words and to know how wonderful is wordreference.com...no more translators online, I swear.
I think I would improve my speaking of English and the only way that I could talk the language better would be living in some country were everybody speaks in English. That's why I'm planning to travel outside the country someday, learn more English and maybe Italian or German.
Outside the English class, sometimes I read some papers in English, I read news or essays about some famous artists and their techniques, things like that. And to know English helps me to understand what they say. Also, when I watch TV or serials, I can understand the dialogues between the characters, so I can be painting and listening the TV (almost the same with music, I can understand the lyrics). On the other hand, I think English is very important in these times, It's kind of a "new door" to get better possibilities and chances in life.
That's all for now =) bye

My future Job
Today I'm going to write about my future job, or a possible future job. Firstable, I think its difficult to say that I'm going to have "that job", because with time things change and I can't be so sure that I will do everything I want right now. I can wish one thing now but maybe tomorrow I'll be better in other one and that's how it goes on.
On the other hand, after getting my degree as an artist at the University I want to get a post-grade, specifically a Magister in arts and possibly outside the country. I want to have a major because it helps you to understand in a better way what are you doing, how to do it better and of course, you can learn more and go deeper and deeper in your area. Also, because having a post-grade is a good thing for the curriculum, you can achieve better jobs and a better pay.
I would like to have a job in a place I can enjoy it. Besides, I would like to teach arts to other people because I think teaching is a very nice activity and you can show your knowledge to students. Moreover, being a teacher or arts must be cool in someway, you can make the students use their imagination.
Some aspects I would consider in the moment I'm going to get a job would be maybe the distance from the place of the job to my house (I can't get a job in La Serena if I'm settle in Santiago). Also, the pay and the hours I'll have to work and to be sure that in the place where I'm going to work there is a nice social milieu with good relations between the people.
If the interviewer make me questions about my personality, strengths or weaknesses at the moment of the job interview I would say that I'm a very patiente person, kind with people and that I'm very eager to start to work.

About money
I think money is important in my life in someway. Because, without money I couldn't study at the university or buy food, pay bills and things like that. But on the other hand, we have a lot of things to enjoy without money, some people say that money doesn't give you happiness and that's true.
Every month I spend my money paying bills, for example: electric lightening, the service of water, internet and sundries of the apartment. Also, I spend it buying food at the supermarket and buying materials for my career at the University (some of them are: oil painting, paintbrushes, canvas, adhesive tape, and a lot of paper). I don't spend so much money in parties, but when I was younger I used to, because I didn't have any bill to pay..hahaha how things change. Well, also because my priorities are diferent now so I try to don't waste my money in things are not important in the moment. Besides, sometimes when there is an interesting movie at the billboard I go to the cinema with my boyfriend. And about shopping, I prefer to earn some money and to go shopping once and for all to get some clothes (and I buy only what I need and what really likes me).
Now I think I'm good at managing my budget, at the begining it was a little difficult and I needed an extra-help from my dad but after sometime I get used to have the accountancy of my expenses, and I learnt what things I could and should buy. Generally, I have some extra money at the end of the month and I save it for my tickets to Europe (someday, I hope).
If I were millionarie, firstable, I would buy top-quality products for painting, cool brushes and good canvas for the rest of my life...I would keep living how I live, maybe buy a car, buy some shoes and accessories. Also, I would give part of my money to my mom, dad, brothers and sisters. I would buy a pretty house near to the coast and I would invite all my family in a big trip..because its a lot of money right?.
If I'm broken and If I had to pawn any of my belongings I would pawn some clothes that I don't used all the time, I would look for things at home that I could pawn to have some extra money. =)

How green I am?
I remember when I was a child my parents told me all the time and taught me to be careful using water. That's a value I still have about consuming water and the same with the electricity. Besides that, I didn't learn about environmentally friendly practices at school or high school.
Actually, I've learnt to recycle and reuse my papers at the university and this method helps me to spend less money in materials. Other way, at home I have a box with all the sunflower oil wasted, to then, throw it into the ground because 1 litre of the oil we use cooking contaminates 1.000 litres of seawater if you throw it into the dishwasher.
Moreover, I ride my bike to go to the University everyday, unless it's rainy or when I have to carry a lot of stuffs. And in my opinion this is a good way to earn money because the public transportation is more expensive everyday.
About supporting an eco-organization I only have signed for Greenpeace online and I receive e-mails to support them almost every week.
Also, when I lived with my older sister we used to take all the tetrapack to the recycling area at the supermarket. One thing that I would like to do, is to reuse plastic doing stuffs really cool for example, once I saw a couch made of plastic bottles (the inside was made of it, then covered with a pretty and soft fabric), or a lamp made of plastic spoons, both were very pretty!.
I think I have reduce my carbon footprint riding my bike, being careful with the lighting electricity and water at home, and also, in every place I go. I don't take long showers, I don't use chimney or any home heating and air conditioning either. Also, I use the same plastic bottle with my own juice or water and not to buy a new soda.
Finally, I think in our city we don't have environmentally practices because some people don't know about it and when we were younger nobody teach us how to do it. But now, you can see how to recycle at home in TV programs or on the internet and there's a lot of people recycling and making changes in our environment. And actually, at primary and secondary school teachers are more dedicated to teach the kids to be committed with the environment that surround us.

Electoral Campaigns
Actually I’m registered to vote because of the “automatic vote” that has been implanted here in Chile; other way I wouldn’t registered to vote until the presidential elections.
If we talk about electoral campaigns, my opinion is that I really don’t like them. I understand that every politician wants to be known in their cities or country but there are a lot of ways to be known. The thing that I don’t like is to see the city full of propaganda, huge banners and papers thrown along the streets. This is because you can see avenues full of trash, because they don’t recycle anything of the paper used.
I think a politician or a person who wants a public position has to be reliable, kind with people, not racist or classist. Besides, this person should be honest, proactive, and efficient. Finally, I think he/she must have a lot of energy to work for the people according to their needs.
On the other hand, I have never considered to have a public position or to be a politician because I don’t like politics at all, I’m not good at public speech or things like that and I wouldn’t like to have a public image all the time either.
Otherwise, the only thing that I liked about the last electoral campaigns was that the last day of the campaign the politicians said that the streets would be cleaned in just one day, I think they did it. Sadly it all comes in garbage.

About the News
The "Chilean Contemporary Art Fair" known as Ch.ACO has been inaugurated one more time this year. It was inaugurated in September 28th until October 1st.
Where?, Well, It was open at the Estacion Mapocho Cultural Center in the capital, located in Alameda Avenue near to the Universidad de Santiago's subway station, in Santiago de Chile.
The exhibition has a collection of works from thirty galleries. Besides, those works are from different countries. The article, also says that this event is the most important in its kind in all the country... but I'm not agree with that.
Overall, the director of Ch.Aco, called Elodie Fulton, thinks that the most important thing in this exhibition, is that is a massive event considering that the organizers expect more than 50.000 visits during the five days.
In my opinion, I think Ch.ACO is a good way to show art to the people but, what kind of art it shows?...some people think that is contemporary art and others think it's only decorative art and a good oportunity to sell your work in the highest prices (because there you can also buy art works, yes! shopping like in the supermarket!). And talking about prices, the price of the admission was really expensive...I think because of that the organizers were so excited haha.
As I said previously, I'm not agree that this exhibition of art is the most important in the country, I didn't know about it until this year and this is the fourth year since Ch.ACO was inaugurated for the first time. I haven't seen advertising about Ch.ACO or anything like that...And there are a lot of more exhibitions in Santiago and in regions as important as Ch.ACO is considered, and the entrance is totally free, galleries where you can see really good art too.

My best friend
I'm not sure if I can say "My best friend is..." because I have many best friends. There is a group of girls and I have my best friend group of boys, too.
On one hand, I met the girls in my first highschool, called San Ignacio School, when I was in 8 grade and we were classmates until we were juniors. On the other hand, I went to another highschool were I became friend of the boys classmates.
I met the girls when I was exactly 13 years old and the boys when I was 16 years old. Now I'm 23 and I'm glad to be friend of all of them, because until now we keep in touch and considering we've been friends during 10 and 7 years, respectively... How time flies!!.
Also, everytime I go to Viña del Mar I visit them, we hang around, go to parties together, we cook (pizza, barbecue, hamburgers or sushi) and things like that. The good part is that in my past birthdays the both group met each other and now we are all friends.
I think I consider them my best friends because they know me just how I am, they've been almost the half of my life being my very best friends. They have supported me when I have been sad or angry. Besides, I think people we meet during our lifes make some changes in our personality, sometimes they help you to grow up, to have experience, to give some advices and to learn. And my friends have done that.
There are a lot of best memories that I have of them, for example some jokes when we were in highschool or when we started to party. Those were funny days. Also, we went on vacations all together (boys and girls) to Olmué during February of this year just to relax some days.... and now, with my girls best friends we are planning to earn money to visit another friend who lives in Sweeden (she left almost 4 years ago), but I think It will pass a lot of time until we made it, but it's possible, anyway.
